DESCRIPTION:High School Parent & Student Orientation (Grades 9–12) \nJoin us at Taos Academy for our High School Parent & Student Orientation on Wednesday\, August 6\, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. \nThis orientation is for both new and returning students and their families. Whether you’re beginning high school\, returning for another year\, or preparing for graduation\, this session will help you start the school year with confidence. \nDuring the session\, you will: \n\nWalk through your individual class schedule and become familiar with your classrooms and learning spaces.\nMeet your teachers and learn about daily routines\, attendance expectations\, and what to expect during the school year.\nLearn how high school credits are earned\, how graduation requirements are tracked\, and what students need to stay on course for graduation. Seniors and their families will receive information about graduation requirements and important milestones for their final year.\nExplore Taos Academy’s Early College High School program and learn how eligible students can earn dual credit through the University of New Mexico–Taos\, giving them the opportunity to earn college credits while completing their high school diploma.\nBecome familiar with school expectations\, available student supports\, and the academic and extracurricular opportunities available throughout high school.\nHave time to ask questions\, connect with staff\, and get ready for a successful year.\n\nWe look forward to welcoming you and helping you make the most of the year ahead at Taos Academy.
